The metallic maroon red that I think your bike came with is kindof expensive and not available in rattle cans. A close match would be Duplicolor or Truck and Van Paint, available at K-Mart and Wal-Mart, respectively. If you just want "red", that is going to last, go to your nearest tractor shop and pick up two cans of either Massey Fergusen or International Harvester tractor touch-up red. They'll keep their color for 2-3 years vs. 6 mos.-to-1-yr. using lacquers. If you really want it done right, go to your nearest PPG Automotive Refinishing Supply store, find a close match, and have it mixed in Deltron. This is a catalyzed acrylic polyurethane and is scratch resistant, fade resistant, in reality damned near indestructible. You'll have to have it sprayed by a pro in a certified booth. It gets expensive but is well worth the money. If you go this route don't try to spray it yourself - it contains an isocyanate compound and requires the use of either forced-air or other rebreather-type respirator system.
Good luck, enjoy the bike, watch out for the cowpies!
